The goal is to have the highest score at the end of the year.
To get there, the goal is to draft prospects you think will sign to the UFC or earn points by winning fights.
Once your prospect signs with the UFC, you may add one new fighter to your team. You will have one week from the public announcement of the signing to make that replacement; if you miss the deadline, you will not receive a replacement.
Fighters who sign with the UFC remain on your roster for the rest of the year, and you will continue to earn or lose points based on their fights.
We will be doing a re-draft at the beginning of each month. Each person will be allowed to drop a prospect and replace him/her with another.
I will allow trades, but both competitors must confirm with me before it’s official
If you ever reach -75pts, you will be eliminated.
This is not a draft-and-forget game. Random check-in threads will be posted throughout the year, and you must respond within one week of each post. Failure to check in within that window will result in elimination.
At any point during the year, each player may place a one-time wager of 100 points on one of their prospects to win an upcoming fight. This wager is even money: if the fighter wins, you earn an additional 100 points; if they lose, you lose the 100 points you wagered.
Scoring Rules
Prospect beats a fighter with a losing or .500 record = 10pts
Prospects beats a fighter with a winning record = 12pts
Prospect loses a fight = -10pts
Prospect loses to a fighter with a losing record = -12pts
Beats another competitor’s prospect = 20pts
Lose to another competitor’s prospect = -20pts
Wins/defends regional title = 15pts
Signs with PFL = 15pts
Wins the Ultimate Fighter = 30pts (including the UFC signing)
Sign with the UFC = 25pts
Wins UFC fight = 25pts
Loses UFC fight = -15pts
Points will only stack if your prospect beats another drafted prospect for a title, which would equal 35 points. UFC wins won’t be against losing records, and most regional title fights won’t be either.
Re-draft Rules
Every rule from the original draft applies here as well.
Each player is issued only four swaps each. It avoids stacking points and makes it more strategic.
Once you drop a fighter, you can’t pick him/her back up.
You can only swap out one fighter at a time.
You can only swap out your last-round pick with another fighter who has three pro fights or fewer.
The draft order is determined by who has the lowest score to the highest. The tied scores will be randomized.
