14 French Prospects to Follow in 2026

Just five years after legalization, French MMA has evolved at a remarkable speed, establishing itself as a legitimate force on the global stage. The country now boasts several high-level UFC fighters who shone in 2025, alongside multiple domestic organizations that continue to grow and rank among Europe’s best.

The prospect pipeline has kept pace. Sola’s successful UFC debut, Adiguzel’s move to ARES, and Abou Younousov’s standout year all underscore the depth of emerging talent. Beyond these increasingly familiar names—many of whom are poised to take another step toward major organizations in 2026—France has roughly a dozen additional prospects ready to break through.

Notably, this development is no longer centralized. While Paris once housed nearly all of the country’s top fighters, talent is now emerging nationwide, with gyms in Toulouse, Nice, Montpellier, Lyon, and Lille producing athletes capable of carving out their place on the international scene.

Here, we will present several French prospects to watch in 2026: two per weight class, plus honorable mentions. For this list, we exclude PFL fighters, champions of major European organizations (Ares, Hexagone, Cage Warriors), and fighters with more than ten professional bouts. Women’s divisions and the heavyweight division will not be covered due to a lack of names.
