14 French Prospects to Follow in 2026

Flyweight

Adam Magomadov 2-0

Adam Magomadov is one of the promising prospects from Chaos Squad, a club based in Saint-Étienne, central France. He followed the classic path of the new generation of French MMA fighters: a solid amateur career of twenty fights (14-6) before turning pro. He made a name for himself on the amateur circuit by excelling in the MMA League and major amateur promotions, including PEF and AEC.

In 2025, he made his professional debut with a spectacular submission in just 47-seconds. After that, he delivered a strong performance at Dynamite MMA against the tough Djamel Rachid. His professional debut was therefore promising and suggests good things for the future.

Stylistically, Magomadov relies on strong wrestling and excellent grappling. Once the fight goes to the ground, he’s always looking for the submission. He’s very aggressive and pretty comfortable fighting off his back, where he is dangerous in attacking and sweeping. This strength on the ground sometimes leads him to willingly accept being on his back or to pull guard, which could work against him eventually. His striking is solid and is used mainly to set up his wrestling. Attention should be paid to his defense, which appears somewhat porous.

In 2026, one could expect Adam Magomadov to sign with a major French organization such as ARES or Hexagone, where he will be able to continue his development and face higher-level competition.

Samba Sima 2-0

Samba Sima made a name for himself in France thanks to his excellent results as an amateur, and especially by stringing together knockouts at the 2024 IMMAF World Championships. This rare achievement at the amateur level—especially in the flyweight division—made him the standout attraction of the tournament. He went on to finish second, adding another medal to his amateur résumé after his third-place finish at the 2023 Junior World Championships. With an impressive 21–4 record and two medals to his name, Sima’s professional debut in 2025 was highly anticipated, and it did not disappoint.

With two knockout victories at Hexagone MMA, Sima has confirmed all the potential he showed as an amateur. His knockout power is still there and even more devastating with small gloves. His striking continues to improve, and he hasn’t even had to rely on his ground game, which is already quite solid. The future, therefore, looks very promising for him. He should keep climbing the ranks at Hexagone and could potentially challenge for the title by the end of 2026 or early 2027. By then, his hype will have continued to grow, and he will likely have delivered a few more spectacular knockouts.

Honorable mentions:

  • Akhmed Amaev (4-0)
  • Souhil Arezki (1-0)
  • David Agoian (2-1)
  • Giovanni Helias (3-1)
