This past week on Contender Series we smacked the big 3 unit play with Puga and Perez getting the victories.
Chris Mecate (12-3) vs Manuel Exposito (14-4)
Both fighters bring bounce and movement to this one, and both like to work level change feints to set up their offense. The difference comes down to cardio, where Mecate holds the edge. Also worth watching is a “fight ends round two” line if you can find value there.
Lean: Mecate.
Jonathan Hanes (6-3) vs Daniel Frunza (9-4)
Hanes comes in 2 and 1 inside the A1 Combat organization over his last three fights and is a bit of an unconventional fighter. He’s not exceptional in any one area, but he has a knack for catching opponents with a looping punch or finding his way into a submission. Frunza is making his first appearance since being cut from the UFC after going 0 and 2 there. He’s a genuinely strong striker with flashes of power and can generate real volume once he has you against the fence. Both fighters have chin questions, but the striking offense favors Frunza.
Lean: Frunza.
Benny Orozco (6-2) vs Dzhamal Mavliudov (6-1)
Orozco has one plan, and it’s a good one: take you down immediately and go straight for the neck. He’ll need to be more careful protecting his own neck on the way in this time, since Mavliudov is LFA’s version of Said Nurmagomedov and will lock on a power guillotine against a sloppy shot. Mavliudov would rather keep this standing, where he’s a legitimately good striker who still needs more seasoning with pacing and defense. He’s coming off a loss where he gassed and was finished by strikes in the third round after failing to answer the referee’s call for defense.
Lean: Orozco moneyline.

IF you are using a book such as BetOnline or Bovada who have Total Round Lines, there is value on the Frunza / Hanes line for Under 1.5 rounds (-122) and could replace Frunza in the 3-leg parlay above.
