Rising KSW star Wiktoria Czyżewska makes her return to bantamweight this Saturday when she takes on UFC veteran Tamires Vidal at KSW 114 in Radom, Poland.
After dropping her amateur MMA debut to Adrianna Kreft in 2020, Czyżewska went on an unbeaten run during the rest of her amateur career before she turned pro in 2022. “Chicatoro” only needed 21 seconds to stop Wiktoria Domżalska at Thunderstrike Fight League 25 in her native Poland, joining KSW later that year to earn another first-round finish against Aleksandra Karaseva at KSW 77.
Czyżewska’s sophomore outing for KSW ended with a third-round loss to Sandra Succar in her only fight of 2023. The 21-year-old rebounded in a big way the following year with first-round finishes of Petra Částková and Erianny Castaneda, and she’s now riding the momentum of four-straight victories after taking unanimous decisions over Bianca Sattelmayer and her former amateur opponent Kreft last year.

As is apparent from both her record and from watching any of her highlight clips, Czyżewska’s striking is what makes her such an intriguing an entertaining MMA prospect. A southpaw, the Polish fighter makes excellent use of straight lefts to both the head and body of her opponents and will follow up with a right hook or right hand over the top when she isn’t simply piecing fighters up with sharp 1-2 combinations.
“Chicatoro” does a good job of not settling for single shots, and she’ll frequently end flurries of punches with a kick. Her dangerous kicking game has been on full display in KSW, as she folded Částková with a “Knockout of the Night”-winning body kick at KSW 91 before she stopped Castaneda with head kick just over two minutes into their meeting at KSW 97.
Czyżewska’s body work with both punches and kicks allows her to really wear her opposition down, and if opponents think they’re going to catch their breath in the clinch they’ll be met with nasty elbows. Although it isn’t her preferred way of getting things done, the 21-year-old has also shown a willingness to grind opponents out against the fence and will also bring things to the mat off of caught kicks.
KSW is clearly aware that it has a potential star on its hands in Czyżewska, and she’s been a heavy favorite in most of her fights with the promotion. Vidal didn’t find much success in the UFC but is at least a somewhat-recognizable name for Czyżewska’s return to bantamweight after the pair were originally scheduled to meet at flyweight last summer, and a win over the Brazilian could set “Chicatoro” up for a big year in 2026.
