Abe “The Killer” Alsaghir
Lightweight
Age: 24
Fighting out of: Dearborn, Michigan, USA
Born: Lebanon
Record: 8-0-0
Abe Alsaghir has been smashing guys left and right on Michigan’s regional scene. Currently on a 14-fight win streak, it’s about time “The Killer” gets some recognition. Unbeaten through his eight fights, Alsaghir has made quick work of his opposition since making his debut back in 2023, finishing seven fights by knockout/submission.
The 24-year-old lightweight boasts an aggressive style, relying on a lead high kick and a swinging right overhand. Alsaghir throws every strike with the intent of ending the fight. Most recently, Alsaghir scored a knockout victory over Juan Porto at Legends of Combat 4. He landed a short, fast left elbow that dropped Porto, leading to the ground and pound finish.
Standing at 5’9”, Alsaghir’s low center of gravity and built stature have played a significant role in his success to this point. He often takes the taller opponents to the cage side and grinds out control. At his top form, Alsaghir is changing levels, showing feints on the feet, ultimately opening takedowns where the Lebanese fighter can simply outmuscle his opponent.
Fighting out of Detroit Jiu-Jitsu Academy, Alsaghir brings a polished grappling base and transitions smoothly on top. When the fight hits the mat, “The Killer” has a clear game plan: advance to full mount for ground-and-pound or take the back, flatten opponents out, and hunt for submissions.
Last July, Alsaghir notched the most credentialed win of his career, a submission victory over former UFC and Strikeforce fighter Drew “The Master” Fickett. Alsaghir was dominant, taking Fickett down early, suffocating the life out of him before eventually finding a RNC in the second round. Obviously, it’s been a while since Fickett has been competing consistently on a high level, but to finish any fighter with 60+ professional bouts is a strong accomplishment for a young career.
Alsaghir wears his nickname well; the 8-0-0 professional fighter is pure violence when he steps in the octagon. Whether the UFC comes calling in 2026 or not, a step up in competition is warranted; there’s no work left to be done on Michigan’s regional scene for a fighter of Abe Alsaghir’s caliber. Be on the lookout for “The Killer” as he continues his climb, because whoever stands across from him next is signing up for a very difficult night.

Haven’t seen The Killer in action but I’m interested in doing so after reading this write up. Seems like my kinda fighter.
