Welcome to the UFC: Damien Anderson and Ezra Elliott

This is a tough fight to predict because both guys have looked flawless throughout their careers. To find a flaw in either of them, I feel like you’d have to be reaching because neither has shown anything glaring.

For me, the best way to predict a winner is by looking at who has shown more in their fights. Elliott has displayed dominant wrestling and a strong ground game. With that said, Anderson has shown a dominant ground game as well, but he’s also displayed more on his feet. Another thing that stands out is that Anderson has gone into the second round three times, and I think that’s important.

Elliott has the better wrestling, but the question is how they’ll match up once the fight hits the mat. I’d side with Anderson as the more accomplished grappler compared to Elliott, who comes from a high school wrestling background. I also think Anderson has the better striking and can comfortably win the fight there. Elliott could end up being a surprise on the feet, but there’s nothing on tape to suggest that.

I got Anderson by decision, winning the striking and some of the scrambles. Elliott may get some takedowns but lose on the cards.
