In the past month, Arthur Ventura has picked up two impressive wins dating back to April 26th. He just recently secured his sixth- pro win with a second-round submission over the now 3-1 Renan Miranda at Money Moicano MMA 1. Despite some struggles in the fight, Ventura still found a nasty anaconda choke to force a tap. At 6-0, Arthur Ventura is starting to make a real name for himself, especially at only 19 years old.
Not only is he 6-0 as a pro, Ventura was able to also go 8-0 as amateur. With only one fight needing judges, he was given the unanimous decision. One thing that really stands out about Ventura though is the difference in finishes throughout his career. Out of his 14 total fights, he has used nine different techniques to stop his opponents. Combine this with him fighting at bantamweight and standing at 6’1″, Arthur Ventura is much more than just the prospect of the month.
CareerÂ
Training out of the small Instituto Team Ventura gym and getting some work in with the Bonfim Brothers, Ventura has got in so much cage time for just being 19.
His amateur career started in 2022 when he was just 15! He would then turn pro in 2025 at Jungle Fight 135 with a second-round Brabo choke. He would fight 3 more times for Jungle Fight, all in 2025. There, he racked up a first round Von Flue choke, his first anaconda in the first round as well, and flying knee in just 47 seconds. The opponents combined for a record of 6-1, with the first two being pro debuts.
He would then fight in Argentina to start off his 2026 at Samurai Fight House versus the 4-3-2 Laureano Soria – an arguably lesser opponent, however, a more experienced one. Ventura would dispatch the Argentinian in record time for himself with a stunning left hook to the body in just 45 seconds, adding to his array of finishes. That fight was on April 26th of this year, and he would quickly turn around to fight at Money Moicano MMA 1 on May 23rd, where he would take on another prospect in 3-0 Renan Miranda.
The Fights
The Miranda fight was his toughest test to date, despite starting off hot by establishing his jab and lead kick, using his immense reach and length.
He would then land a nasty lead-in elbow that rocked Miranda really bad, crumbling him to a knee, however, Miranda would show his toughness. Ventura would jump in for a flying knee that seemed to sort of land, but Renan Miranda was able to grab and clinch Ventura. Arthur decides to try a whizzer, which fails as Miranda lands on top, and that’s where we start to see a possible hole in the game of Ventura.
In the next minute, Miranda is able to land some ground and pound and take the back, threatening subs and strikes. Ventura stays active and is able to get back to the feet, however, Miranda is not done having his way with him, as the final 90 seconds of the round consist of Miranda taking Ventura down again and again as Ventura kept returning to his feet. The second round starts with a very similar formula from Ventura as he tries to establish his jab and his kicks. Miranda is starting to time some counters and start to land on Ventura himself, backing Arthur up a bit.
Miranda, now controlling the center, is starting to land more as Ventura lands a grazing spinning wheel kick, which was aimed for the body but landed to the head of Miranda. However, Miranda tanks it and lands a few good shots of his own. Miranda misses a knee as Ventura goes for a takedown and Miranda jumps on a choke that leads to another dominant position for Miranda, who lands some strikes. Ventura rolls out and jumps on the neck of Miranda, but Miranda ends up in the same position again. Then, Ventura does the same move, this time landing in a much better position that leads his arm right under the chin of Miranda, and in one motion, the anaconda is in and Miranda is forced to tap.
Back in April though, Arthur Ventura showed just how dominant he can be as he dominated Laureano Soria in his first fight in a new country. Ventura starts the fight with a calf kick and a jab, and after that Soria shoots for a takedown. 20 seconds in and off another jab from Ventura, Soria shoots another takedown which is slowly warded off by Ventura, who clinched and walked Soria to the other side of the cage. Ventura releases the clinch as he looks for a overhand elbow that misses. He then looks for a hook to the head and lands a left hand right on the sweet spot, making Soria crumble before waving the fight off himself. Ventura just stands there emotionless as he admires his work.
Ventura is a legit threat everywhere. Like I have mentioned, he uses his range very well by establishing his jab and his array of different head kicks and legs kicks. He likes to also establish the center and stay there, picking his opponent apart whule looking for his big right hand that usually lands once his opponents are worried about the kicks and jabs. He also uses these tools to open up the big shots like his amazing flying knee.
With the grappling, it seems to be a doomed if you do, doomed if you don’t situation, as you might be able to take him down, but he is so dangerous on the ground. Staying on the feet leaves you at risk to his strikes that are fast and hard to avoid, as he is so close to you already with his length. Ventura has proven that he can create a submission from any position on the ground, whether it’s from a dominant position or a vulnerable one.
The Different Finishes
Armbar (x3), Toe Hold, Punch (KO), Rear Naked Choke, Brabo Choke, Von Flue Choke, Anaconda Choke (x2), Flying Knee, Left Hook (Liver TKO).
At only 19, Arthur Ventura has ample time to keep improving – which is legit scary, as he already seems so polished. He is also extremely tall, which could play a factor into moving up to featherweight at some point in his career. I look forward to watching this kid, and you all should too.
