Shawn Bitter- This is another one I lost my notes on. I like Moran. I think he’s clean and has a unique style at 125. With that said he is a bit chinny and can throw single strikes. Given that he will strike with Degli, I believe Degli will eventually find the chin. I’m picking Degli by TKO in round 2.
Cedric Dumas- We finally have Marcos Degli on DWCS. I’ve been waiting for this moment for a while, and he gets a tough but fair matchup against Paris Moran, a well-known name on the US regional scene.
I’m not a huge fan of Moran’s style. Most of his finishes have come against lower-level competition, and when he has faced tougher opposition, I haven’t seen enough of that finishing instinct. The recent split-decision loss to 13-11 Jacob Silva is also a massive red flag for me.
Degli, meanwhile, lives for finishes, sporting a ridiculous 93% finishing rate against solid opposition. His last loss came in 2022 against UFC fighter Felipe dos Santos. He has better-than-average BJJ, but his boxing is the real weapon. He’s absolutely ruthless when attacking both the head and body, and there is serious power behind his shots.
The biggest concern is that he does like to brawl, and he’s been rocked a few too many times lately. I don’t expect that to hurt him here, though. I think Degli’s pressure, power, and finishing ability will eventually overwhelm Moran.
Pick: Degli by Round 2 KO/TKO
Nicholas Holt- Marcus Degli is the #1 flyweight prospect in the world for good reason, and there couldn’t be a better opportunity for the Brazilian to showcase his skills. His boxing is pure, and no matter the circumstance, Degli’s offense will always be an aesthetic treat. The power he owns is striking for a 125-pounder – it feels like with every punch or kick he throws, the fight could end. His jiu-jitsu is quite impressive as well; he’s scored four submissions throughout his career and seemingly has only gotten better with time.
Degli’s opponent, Paris Moran, is a strong counterpart, and I honestly wish he would’ve gotten a more favorable matchup. Unfortunately, though, he’s running into a buzzsaw in Marcus Degli. Moran will have to make it ugly if he’s going to want to win this matchup, but engaging in close range with Degli is a danger in itself. It’s certainly going to be an uphill battle for the American, and unfortunately, I just don’t think he has enough to defeat Marcus Degli.
I believe Degli will show levels and finish Moran with ease in the opening five minutes.

Xavi Ryder– Right under Bilal Hasan in terms of best flyweights we will see this season is the LFA interim flyweight champion Marcos Degli. This guy is a monster and a threat wherever the fight goes, with all of his wins but one coming by finish. While Paris Moran is no slouch, I have a hard time seeing him find a way to beat Degli. Moran is a solid, well-rounded fighter, but I just don’t think he poses enough danger to Degli. With not too much danger coming back at him, I see Degli walking Moran down and finishing him within two rounds.

Drew Beaupre- Moran’s been knocking on the door of a DWCS opportunity over the last couple of years, and now it finally comes against one of the very best flyweight prospects in the entire sport.
There’s plenty of technical reasons why so many fans are high on Degli, but he’s also the kind of fighter that the UFC brass would simply love to have on the roster. A proven finisher, the Brazilian promises violence every time he steps into the cage, although that willingness to engage in brawls does also present an opening for Moran to score an upset here.
Moran would have to either connect with a perfect shot as Degli comes in or really slow this fight down in order to get his hand raised, but to do that he’ll have to survive an onslaught of offense that will be coming his way right from the opening bell. (Pick: Degli via R1 KO/TKO)
Cangrejo Ruiz- Good Fight. I am a big fan of Degli, and he has deserved this opportunity for quite some time. His striking is vicious and hits like a truck while also having a nice grappling toolset. Moran also has good striking, more focused on technique; his fight IQ is quite nice, but mentally he tends to be inconsistent and overcomplicate fights. I think Degli is going to close the distance and put damage on Moran until finding an eventual TKO.
Prediction is Degli by R1 TKO
Benjamin Keith- Besides my boy Natividad, I rarely trust American flyweights. Moran is your typical American flyweight. Gritty, technical, and not extremely powerful or dangerous. I have no doubt he could stack a couple wins in the UFC, but fighters like him have a ceiling.
Marcos Degli, on the other hand, drops bombs for a flyweight. He is lightning fast on the feet and rarely lets his opponents breathe. He swings for the fences and leaves himself open to counter-striking. It will bite him in the ass one day, but not here. Degli will be fighting in the UFC top 15 for years to come.
