Unfortunately, week eight of Contender Series lost the Bulaid vs Visconde fight a little over an hour before the card started. This left us with four fights. As a result, this felt like a 50/50 night. We got to see two of the top prospects outside the UFC get awesome finishes and earn UFC contracts.

This week was by far the week I was most excited for this season, and it definitely lived up to expectations. It was sick to see high-level prospects take each other on in a few of the fights, we got a couple cool finishes, and we saw a couple WARS. The only thing weighing this

Week 5 of Dana White’s Contender Series brings us to only the second week this season where all five winners didn’t earn UFC contracts. A much better week all around, with no bad referee interference, a real Contender Series-level fight, and possibly the best overall group of contract winners so far this season. I believe

I’m not going to lie, week four was an ugly episode of Contender Series. We got a couple big finishes, and I was quite impressed with Silvestre Sanchez, but it wasn’t all good. I’m not sure all five contracts were deserved, there was a bad early stoppage, and the main event was a complete mismatch.
