Ikei has come a long way in the last year. You can see that his time spent in the MMA Lab has shaped him into a complete MMA fighter. He is still early in his career, but he fights in the second week of 202,6 so the year is shaping up for him to be active.
Ikei has a wrestling base coming to MMA as a former D1 wrestler for Arizona St. Ikei is a strong representation of a well-rounded fighter. On the feet, he’s clean, methodical, and thorough. He blends a variety of weapons pretty well and fights behind a lot of feints. He’s so good at mixing in his takedowns off of strikes to switch things up. Ikei is an extremely opportunistic finisher with his submissions, snatching up his lone submission with an anaconda. Improvements can still be made, but it’s clear that Ikei is improving fast.
