10 Flyweight Prospects the UFC Should Sign in 2026

Mark Climaco

11-2 | 28 | US

I had reservations about listing Climaco here. Reasons being that he hasn’t fought in over a year. He’s coming off ACL/MCL/Meniscus surgery, so it’s untelling how he’ll look when he comes back. Still, with his skillset and his resume, I can’t leave him off. Climaco is 5-1 in LFA, 1-0 in Bellator, and 1-0 at UAE Warriors. He fought on the Road to UFC against Rei Tsuruya in 2023 and had a strong showing. He’s one of the rare regional prospects in the US who hasn’t heavily padded his record.

Climaco is a mixed martial artist who excels in wrestling despite not having a formal background, relying on natural feel, sharp timing, and effective chain wrestling to consistently complete takedowns. He frequently takes the back and shows strong positional awareness, allowing him to maintain a high wrestling and grappling pace for three rounds. On the feet, he mixes in slick short combinations, varies his looks and patterns, and is a dangerous kicker to the lead leg and liver, with solid counter-striking to complement his game.
