20 Female Prospects the UFC should sign in 2026

Valesca Machado

15-4, 29 years old, Strawweight, Brazil

Another name you are probably familiar with, Valesca Machado has been on the cusp of the UFC since 2021. After a stint on DWCS that year, which ended in a surprising loss to Piera Rodriguez, “Tina Black” has gone 7–1 since, capturing two regional titles along the way. Unfortunately, Invicta FC was unable to host many events this year, which explains why Machado did not compete in 2025 to get that ultimate push towards the UFC.

On a positive note, the Brazilian recently signed a representation deal with the well-known Iridium Sports Agency. This is a clear sign that Machado still has her sights set on a UFC contract and, with that team backing her, she is well-positioned to finally receive the call from the matchmakers.

Cheyanne Bowers

7-2, 31 years old, Flyweight, USA

It may sound strange to some, but Cheyanne Bowers is one of my favorite regional fighters on the American circuit. Whenever she is booked for a fight, you know fireworks are almost guaranteed. Bowers was very active in 2025, posting a 2–1 record with LFA, including a split-decision loss in a title unification bout in January against the next woman on my list. She then closed out the year with two first-round submissions, the latest coming against Maritza Sanchez in a fight that felt, to me, like a true UFC eliminator.

Bowers would be a strong addition to the UFC, particularly because she is a legitimate finisher, something that is sometimes lacking in women’s bouts. At 31 years old, this is also a time-sensitive decision, and the UFC will need to act soon if they want to bring her into the organization. Her underdog persona would be a great addition to the roster, I’m convinced.
