Josiah “Muscle Hamster” Harrell has taken the Ohio Combat League by storm in 2025. He made his debut with the promotion last March, securing the belt by August. Harrell is a small welterweight at 5’7”, but an athletic specimen. Harrell is intent on taking his opponent to the ground, with fluid transitions that often find him in back mount, searching for a TKO by strikes or his patented RNC. You might remember Harrell, if you turn back the clock to LFA 160 in June 2023, where “Muscle Hamster” shot a double leg takedown through the door of the octagon before finishing Mike Roberts by ground and pound in the 3rd round.
Harrell’s standout performance ultimately led him to a shot with the UFC, scheduled to fight Jack Della Maddalena on short notice. Though heartbreak followed his signing after a pre-fight MRI discovered a rare brain disease, forcing Josiah Harrell out of the biggest moment in his career. 624 days after that last victory, Harrell was fully cleared.
