Guatemala
Guatemala isn’t known for combat sports so to get someone from the area would be big. Incomes Alexander de la Rosa (2-0), whom I’ve never heard of before this. He trains in Mexico at Legacy MMA/Brazilian Warriors with the likes of Diego Lopes and others. In his two MMA fights, he’s displayed some relentless wrestling, ragdolling guys around with big elevated takedowns. Jiu-jitsu has looked good as well with two clean RNC wins. On the feet, he’s explosive and has some good pop behind his hands. Rosa hasn’t been tested in the slightest, but he looks fun.
Hungary
Norbert Novenyi Jr. (9-1) made a name for himself under the Bellator banner from 2018 to 2024. His only loss in Bellator was to Dalton Rosta as he went 6-1 overall. Novenyi is only 26, has some good-level experience, and trains at London Shootfighters with guys like MVP. He fights with a karate-influenced stance but is an even better wrestler. His blend of skills and everything he’s already done, he’s a future UFC fighter this coming year. The UFC has never had a prominent figure from Hungary, so watch for them to make the move on Norbert.
India
The fan base is quite harsh on the MMA scene in India. I’m not saying they’re completely wrong, as they do lack strong competition. However, Matrix Fight Night has done a good job of showcasing fighters from the area. One of those is Sonam Zomba (7-1), who is their strawweight champion. Zomba is a better fighter than expected. On the feet, she is low volume but a decent kickboxer. She is a pretty solid wrestler and can grapple very well. From just the eye test, she can turn out to be pretty good. Good enough on the feet, good cardio, and can wrestle/grapple.
Indonesia
Bilal Hasan (8-0, 1 NC) was born and lives in the US but represents Indonesia. In fact, the country needs him because they’re behind in talent there. He’s someone who proudly represents the country and they’re lucky to have him. Hasan is the best prospect from Indonesia, and he’s one of the best prospects in the world. He’s the current CFFC flyweight champion with four title defenses to his name. With his electrifying fighting style, he has the ninja-like ability they are looking for in the flyweight division.
